Winning some, losing some lately. Need to string a couple of good days together!
Here's a total for tonight...
(NHL) Toronto@NY Islanders
2* Under 5 +110
Going against a trend of 9 straight overs in this series, and getting a bargain price by doing it. Both teams have struggled on offense to this point, and with Mogilny (TOR) and Scatchard (NYI) out for tonight, it doesn't look to improve. Toronto has scored just 5 goals in 4 games, and has succeeded on just 2 of 20 PP opportunities. The Isles' 2.69 GFA is misleading, as 6 of their 11 goals came in one game against Buffalo's Ryan Miller, who has since been sent down to Rochester. Their PP is not much better than Toronto's, with 3 goals in 21 chances. Both clubs have been successful on the PK, however. Toronto goalkeeper Ed Belfour is fresh from a 1-0 shutout of Montreal, one of the highest-scoring teams on the young NHL season. He has a 0.96 GAA and .958 SP in two road starts this year. Belfour has faced the Isles 16 times, notching a 2.33 GAA and .913 SP. While the Isles' starting goalie has yet to be named, they would be smart to go with the hot hand and start Rick DiPietro. He has a 0.83 GAA and .956 SP right now. Whoever starts in net, they won't face too many shots with top-notch blueliners Aucoin and Hamrlik playing in front of them. This is a heated rivalry, and both teams will see a lot of box time, but with their current shooting woes, even the 4-on-4 action shouldn't help lift this over.
