The Southern Miss defense spent almost 70 minutes on the field in last two games. Short rest, back-to-back road games, trailed and played from behind in two straight games. Needed to overcome 17 pts deficit twice against Virginia and they did it. Trailed Kansas by as many as 14, tied them up 3 times but gassed out in the fourth quarter. They were rushed against 88 times in last 2 games. Will miss a star RB and another one is banged up. Also missing two solid recievers. UAB banged up as well but will play at home and have a good double-threat QB who can exploit the tired SMISS defense. SMISS no experience whatsoever in short rest mid week games. Last time they played in this situation was almost two years ago. I'll take the weeknight home dog.
