Wright State Warriors +7

Couple of things going in this game. Wright State has been competitive in every game this entire season with their two worst losses coming to Butler by 12.

In the last match up at Butler's Hinkle Field House, the Bulldogs won 74-62.

Todays total is 121.5 Now in a Championship game I look for longer possessions and a slow paced game. The Warriors shoot a good % from 3's and as a team are very competent at the line. In the last meeting they forced 17 turn overs, but lost because the Bulldogs were 23 of 29 for the game in two point shots. Hell they shot 67.5% from the field in that game.

Now I don't know if Butler will turn the ball over another 17 times, but I am pretty damn sure they won't shoot 67%. This game is Wright State's only shot at the tournament and they will scratch and claw for all they can get.

Here is your box score for a game played just a month ago at Butler:

Now Wright State has to feel they can compete. Here is the last few paragraphs cut and pasted from the recap of their last battle with Butler:

The first half had 10 lead changes and nine ties and neither team led by more than six points. Butler, which shot 65 percent, scored the final six of the half to open a 35-29 advantage.

“I thought we played well for 18 minutes and the game got away from us in the last two minutes of the first half,” Raiders coach Brad Brownell said. “The first five minutes of the second half they scored seven out of eight possessions or something along those lines … and then you’re trying to battle back against a team that’s just too good.”

Butler shot nearly 68 percent for the game and had more turnovers (17) than missed field goals (13) for the first time this season.
