I don't remember the last time the Lions covered on Thanksgiving. I took them here but my favorite play is the over. I think the Lions will be able to put up some points on NE's weak secondary but Brady will have his way with the Lions defense. 35-28 Pats.

You really feel comfortable taking the Lions here?

7 years ago was the last time that they won either SU or ATS. Since '03, Detroit is 0-6 SU and ATS on Thanksgiving Day, and it's usually good teams that come in and beat the snot out of it.

Here's my analysis of this one. Tend to think that the Pats are romping.

No, I'm not that confident. I like the over more than anything. But to play devils advocate NE is also a 90% public favorite, off of two big wins and in a spot for a letdown. The Lions have played the good teams tough this year. I thought this spread would be between 10 and 14, it started at 6.5 and smells fishy. And I'm a homer.

I know that it's super square to back New England in this game, but it feels super square to fade the Lions every Thanksgiving... Even the donkiest of donks find a way to cover 45% of all spreads, right?

MY MIND SAYS PATS AND THE OVER, AS BRADY PICKS APART THE LIONS LACKLUSTER SECONDARY, BUT THE VOICES IN MY HEAD(I AM A LIONS FAN) SAY THE LIONS LUCKY NUMBER IS 7 AND THEY WIN THIS GAME OUTRIGHT. PATS DONT HAVE THE BEST D, JAVAHD BEST IS BACK THIS WEEK IN DECENT HEALTH, WE ALMOST BEAT THE JETS AND PHILLY AT HOME, I COULD SEE THE LEOS MAKING THIS ONE A GAME.(I HOPE THEY DONT EMBARASS THEMSELVES ON NATIONAL TV :hide: I AGREE WITH BW THAT THE OVER SEEMS LIKE A GOOD PLAY:thumbsup: HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE:thumbsup:

How confident are picks based on outcomes for teams years ago? I'm not sure, just asking. I'm Lions are a different team than before so not sure how that affects each subsequent prediction.

Anyway,
I agree with the OVER pick, but the Thanksgiving special might keep it a closer game and it might be a within-1 TD game...
