Niners just signed Brandon Jacobs!!!
Few reasons I'm super stoked:
1) I like Brandon Jacobs
2) I'm a HUGE Niner Fan
3) My last name is JACOBS! This guy is getting his own personalized jersey!!!! Booya!!!

LOL...That's cool that your name is Jacobs...
They are going after Duece Litui to fill Adam Snyder's spot at right guard (I was very worried about that)
My opinions...
First,
"Hey Peyton Manning...Are you sure you made the right choice?"
Instead of kissing John Elway's taint, I don't know why the media never said anything about San Fran being the best option for Manning to win. Manning went after the most money, plain and simple. It has nothing to do with John Elway, it was about the team with the most CAP ROOM. We could put Steve Young or Uncle Joe in the front office if Manning wants a hall of fame QB to talk with. So, Stupid.
Alright...back to the Jacob's signing....
Positives:
1. (Best Part) It's pissing the Giants fans off that we are taking their key role players
2. Dixon wasn't working out as a short yardage back. Need someone who can get that 2and and short (with the chance of breaking one). Dixon lacked the speed.
3. He can Give gore even more breathers and offer a change of pace to Kendell Hunter & Frank Gore. He makes a nice piece if Gore gets hurt (we know he's a work horse, but it never hurts to have an extra back)
4. We got him cheap just as we got Moss, Manningham at a low price (with little risk).
5. He can do some pass blocking (which never hurts as our small running backs have trouble picking up the blitzs sometimes (especially Hunter)...and we don't want Gore picking up too many blitzes..
Questions:
1. I wonder if Harbaugh has some plays designed to put Jacobs and Gore in the backfield at the same time. I think that would creat some defensive issues....
Opposing defenses...."Let's see...Who's getting the ball here? Is it Gore? Is it Jacobs? Maybe Manningham....? But, It could be Crabtree... Oh no...we forgot about Moss over the top.... Oh damn they have Vernon Davis too.... HOLY SHIT...This team is loaded...."
Possible Negatives:
1. As long as he keeps his mouth shut. He's been know to have an attitude problem. But again...one-year deal...low risk...They can axe him if he becomes a problem...
Overall:
This team definetly has some some new additions on offense which will make this team very exciting to watch next season. I really think that Alex will thrive in the same system (he's got a great understanding of our offfense and will be able to be a leader at QB again this year. I think that even the new guys will look to Alex for leadership.

Gore and Jacobs combine for one healthy running back

Can football start already damn it!!!!Nope, they still got some work to do.
They have a decent amount of cap room.
So, we need to sign Duece Litui to fill the hole at Right Guard.
They also have to get some young guns in the draft. Having a complete team is a big advantage come draft time as they can take the best player on the board.
1. I really like Sanu from Rutgers...
2. I would like to see them go after another ball hawking safety and perhaps run blocking tackle as well.
Niners are going to be very tough to beat next year...

Gore and Jacobs combine for one healthy running backhuh? Which NFL are you watching BW....?
Gore played 16 games last year (1,200 yards & 8TD) and Jacobs player 14 (in 2011) 16, 15 the last three years....Neither of them are injured...and with Gore, Hunter, and Jacobs....They should be even healthier...
It was actually Bradshaw who was hurt most of last season for the Giants...
Giants will miss Brandon Jacobs - NFL Nation Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/56342/giants-will-miss-brandon-jacobs)
Wanna talk injury cases at running back, look at your Lions with Best who was out for 70% of the season...
Also...Harbaugh is the man! :p

Gore played 14 games in 2009, 11 games in 2010, and 16 in 2011. And you can't tell me he was healthy in all 16 games last year. He had 6 games with less than 15 attempts. Jacobs has played 16 games twice in his career. This will be his last 1 year deal in the NFL. Even Jerry Rice knows he's soft. Harbaugh must be very confident that he can get these malcontents (Moss, Cox, Jacobs) to perform to their potential. Or maybe he'll turn Jacobs into a guard to keep Gore healthy?
And don't get me started on the Lions RB situation, they're going to put a whole new definition to RB by committee. I'm just messing with you guys, I smell a rivalry on the way between my Lions and you're 49ers after what happened last year. They play again this year and they're both young (or SF was young until this off season <burn>) and I'm sure they'll be meeting in the playoffs once or twice in the future.

Also, Hunter was a good running back last year (so why risk hurting Gore at the end of the year when they need him for the playoffs)
No running back in the NFL stays completely 100% healthy for 3 straight years and carries a full load (20+ carries / game) without some bumps and bruises. But as far as last year, both backs were healthy (by running back standards). Jacobs also reduces the wear and tear on gore.....
Time to get that rung for the second hand...
You're just Jealous cause Harbaugh would kick "The Shwartz" ass... </burn>:p
