BPD, it's cool. I actually forgot about this bet. While watching some college football, I was thinking about running the numbers to see which poster has the most posts this year. That's when I suddenly remembered that I played it this one with you and came here to check the results. Win or Lose...I appreciate your picks...You can always improve, which I am sure you will. Horse Racing Handicapping is very difficult for me and every time I bet it, I treat it like a lottery ticket or a big parlay ticket. I have tried a few systems of my own at the OTB and have had some success, but never anything with long-term consistency. I see some old guys with strategies at the track and they are all just "watching the totes/chalk eating" strategies playing trifectas with the favorites. I have yet to see a long-term horse racing system that wins win any consistency, but I also haven't tried too many. Maybe one day another horse capper that you can work with will join and help improve the overall quality of your horse racing forum.

I have a horse racing conspiracy theory that I always believed since the day I placed my first horse bet. I still believe the house fucks with the odds boards and I will never change my position until they stop flickering the numbers after the race starts. Nothing says "shady" like the horses running and the numbers on the tote still changing. I know that they are supposedly the last second bets being calculated, but can anyone actually prove they aren't fucking with them? I remember the first time I placed a bet I saw the number changing after the horses were running and was laughing out of sheer skepticism. I remember asking my uncle, "how the hell can anyone tell if those numbers are accurate." He goes "you cant". Me: "That's reassuring"

I also think the riders are equally in on the pool sometimes and that they often bullshit with each other about who's gonna win the race. I love when their warming up and chatting next to each other, especially at the harness tracks. They obviously take those races very seriously. Different Jockeys riding different trainers horses and different owners. It all just seems so fishy to me.

But again, your picks are always appreciated and after all you are the top poster in the past two years. I still come here when I feel like betting a horse.

There is definitely some fishy things that go on in horse racing. The harness racers are even more crooked. I have spoke with a couple of breeders of harness horses in the past and they won't even begin to tell me all the crap that they know.
