Lets look at the 5th at Calder today.
The 7 horse made 8-1.

He, in the middle of the last turn starts to fly, he is now in second, the horse in front still has him by 3, HE GOES BY HIM LIKE HE'S STANDING STILL.

This is what I knew....this is where he will be according to the fractions each horse in this race can run. Thats counting speed comparatives, track differentials.

What did he do? He died and finished next to last.
All I was able to do was tell you HE HAD A GREAT CHANCE TO WIN. The jockey also knew that as they study each race.
8-1...WHERE WAS HE ON THAT FINAL TURN???

Trying now to figure out what happen is a waste of time.
Why did Ted Williams strike out that time at bat?
Don't waste your time on things that are normal and need no explanation.

Angry

I had a 50-50 on the 9 in the 6th at Delaware he ran 3rd at 9-2
Got a damn good price but the favorite won the race.

bpd67 will become famous soon enough; and up and coming hot prospect with natural talents!
Handicapping anything, as you said earlier, is basically narrowing the field to improve your odds of winning and also improve your chances of narrowing out the waste of time teams or horses. No one in this world can tell you the exact winners on a daily basis.

You handicap to narrow the field and realistically find out who should be up front or on top. But everyday there are upsets and very big upsets, that's where people get lucky. As with the Derby, there's no way you could of picked that superfecta unless you did a quick pick as that one guy did or your just hoping for a big payout, on paper that would not have even been a bet to think about.

No bet in the 7th. 2 minutes to post the 1 is 7-5

At Calder I bet 50-50 on the 2 at 9-5.

I agree with what you said here. Remember what I do is hit 17% to 19% of horses that go off at 5-1 on up.
They will return a price from 17 to 19 bucks on an average.

The only reason, and you have just found that out, that this is a winner every single day is I DO 7 TRACKS IN ONE DAY!!!!!!

"THAT"...is what is my security blanket. You can stop me as you have seen with just a few races a day, and you can stop me at even 3 tracks.....BUT NOT AT 7 IN ONE SINGLE DAY.

Laid off that 4/5 shot at Delaware and he finished 2nd.
Didn't pay 4 bucks to place so as to cover the win bet.
Paid 3:60 I think.

I did bet the 2 at Calder in the 8th and he is UP to 3-1 with 8 minutes left.
50-50 on the 2 horse.
He should be 4/5 and we are getting 3-1......damn good price.

????????

????????

HE FINISHED 2ND AND PAID 5:80 TO PLACE.

Told you we were getting a good price on him, no?

Gee....what can I do with that 45 bucks I just won?

I know, subtract it from the 100 I lost at Delaware on the 3rd place finish.

Anyway, I made a few bucks today overall. Gave me something to do.
The 1st at Delaware made the day.

Thanks for the plays.

I broke about even after playing the short price. I was gone for awhile and already had it in.

See you later Zorro!

Thanks.

When I say you never know and can't take anything for granted......that 2 horse finished at 5-1.
From 9-5 when I bet him, he went all the way up to 5-1.
Of course....he ran SECOND.
