Sportsbook.com needs my credit card statement and a copy of driver's license

Has anyone used Sportsbook.com and had this problem? I received an email from them about a week after I signed up saying that there was a discrepancy between information I provided them and information on file with my bank. The email said before I could withdraw funds I would have to verify my account by sending them credit card and driver's license info. I am wondering if this is legit or if it is some kind of id theft risk? Any help would be appreciated.

they are legit, and a publicly traded company. use neteller if you have any concerns. also, using neteller allows you to shop around for lines much easier.

Second, you made a good choice to play at Sportsbook.com. As for your withdrawl request, this is perfectly fine. They have my picture ID and a copy of a bank statment from me on file. This is a good thing. It is to prevent fraud. Some ID thieves are using offshore sportsbooks to launder and steal money. It's for your protection and you will only have to do it once. It will not create any complications for you and they will process you withdraw for you after that. Just as greatdivide stated, they are publiclly traded company and there is worries with Sportsbook.com. It's all good
