Question for Louie
Like everyone, I'm a little worried abt my bankroll. I've got some money in sportsbook.com, and was wondering if I should put in a request for withdrawal any time soon? Don't know if withdrawal method really matters, but I usually directly deposit the money back to my account.
I read this article, and was a little worried: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061002/...partygaming_dc
from the article , "PartyGaming said in a statement, "If the President signs the act into law, the company will suspend all real money gaming business with U.S. residents."
While this isn't sportingbet (the company that owns sportsbook.com, I could easily see sportingbet doing this after the bill is signed. With the bill being slated to be signed by Bush within the next couple of weeks, should I go ahead and withdraw my money now? Or am I being paranoid? Thanks

I can tell you what I'm doing if that helps at all. I have money in a couple of sportsbooks and I plan on leaving it there for the time being. I don't use sportsbook.com anymore but I would imagine even if they suspended activities with US citizens you would still be allowed to withdraw your money and it's unlikely a legitimate company like that would take your money and run. Worst case scenerio I can see is that you wouldn't be able to direct deposit back into your checking account but would have to wait o a cashiers check to mail. Obviously I can't guarantee that you wouldn't lose the money you already have there but I think it would be HIGHLY unlikely. Just do what you feel comfortable with, but I think your money is safe for the time being. I'm sure Louie will have some better insight for you, but I'd figure I'd throw my opinion in too.
