Ok I am off to Vegas for the first time at the end of this month... I need some recomendations from anyone thats ever been, such as a good sportsbook to go and place bets and watch the games, where to go and play poker...

Superman. I go to Vegas usually 2-3 times per year. I always stay at Caesar's so I am a little biased, but they do have a decent sportsbook. They also recently opened a new poker room. I haven't checked it out since I don't play, but it is rumored to be very nice.

cool cool...i have heard from a few other people about caesars as well, i think i will be checking that one out for sure.

i am staying at the bellagio so i plan on playing some poker there but i do want to check out other spots as well...

LOTS of nice places to eat in Vegas. A lot of it is a little how shall I say "sophisticated?" for my taste.. I am pretty much a steak and seafood kind of girl. I love Nero's at Caesars...

Hey wait aren't you a chef Superman? or did I conjure that up somewhere? Anyway, if so, you would probably like Guy Savoy's new restaurant at C.P. He was the chef of the year of France in 2002 and winner of lots of other awards. They made a big deal when he opened his new restaurant there. Haven't eaten there...there is also Bradley Ogden and some more causual places.. .Of course Bellagio is right next to C.P. and you can count of them having some great places to eat....all very spendy as you can imagine!

Go down to Fremont Street one evening. It's the old strip, Golden Nugget, Horseshoe, etc... Love it down there, we stay down there every year for the NCAA tourney. Go down that at night so you can catch a light show and hit a couple casinos. The Plaza has cheap SnG's during the day starting about every 30 minutes. Enjoy, wish I was going, love that town. Have to take this year from the tourney since I just got married, won't have the funds.
