recent experiences with deposits/withdrawals
Been laying low and not gambling at all for the past month or so due to the current offshore situation. In particular Pinnacles's departure from the US market and the recent troubles with Neteller. My personal opinion is I don't feel safe having my money offshore for the time being. Hopefully by next football season things will be a little more smoothed out but we'll see. By no means do I have a sky is falling, apocalyptic outlook, but I am being very cautious right now; perhaps overly cautious.
But to my question: what are people's recent experiences (in the last month or so) regarding deposits/withdrawals from different offshore books? Any comments both postive or negative would be greatly appreciated. Good luck all with your bets and hopefully I'll be back to making plays by NCAA football this fall.

Pinnacle.
I requested my withdrawal in the middle of January. They credited my account with the cost of a western union check which was nice.
They sent me an email saying they would send me another email when my request was processed. I havent heard back.
I sent them an email letting them know its been about a month, and I havent recieved my check or a confirmation email. and they said theyre recieving a lot of wd requests, and they would let me know when my check is processed.
Havent heard anything back yet.
Im not that worried about it...yet. I understand what theyre going through, but it might be a different story if Im still waiting in a month.
Ill update the situation when I hear something back, or send them another email. "let me get this straight...you took all the money you made franchising your name, and bet it AGAINST the Harlem Globetrotters?!"

Thanks for the reply grandy, but I was looking more for people's experiences with books that currently accept US citizens. If anyone deposits or withdraws anytime soon, I'd appreciate you telling me how it went, particularly if things didn't go as smooth as you'd like. Thanks board.

I currently play at Bodog, and I recently requested a payout on February 20th. Bodog sent me a message saying I should have a check in the mail in about 20 days. I have no reason to believe I won't get my money in a timely fashion. But I am a relatively small player so it is a possibility it could go very smooth due to the small amount. However, Bodog is most likely the most well known book in this country and one of the most reputable and the world. I will let you know how it turns out.

Appreciate the reply Joester and I'm sure bodog will pay you. My main concern is how difficult it may have become to withdraw as well as the time period to expect the money. Obviously, it's not as easy and quick as when they had echeck, however, even the check option seems slower than it was prior to this new bill becoming law. I've requested payouts by check before (the last time was about a year ago though) and it usually took between 4-7 days to get to me. Thanks very much for the reply, that's basically what I was looking for. One last question; where you charged a withdrawal fee to withdraw by check? Thanks again.

Nope no fee... -

Pinnacle sent me an email saying "the check is in the mail."

i used firepay until they no longer took us citizens. I have cashed out with a book and a poker site, both just sent me checks and it worked fine. I have not made a deposit yet (i'm sure it won't be long though). However, I'm certain if they get money to me, they have a way of getting it from me.
On a side note these gambling sites make way too much money to give up our US business, they will always figure out a loophole or a way around it to make sure we stay their customers

I agree that there will always be offshore sites willing to cater to US clients regardless of the political climate. The thing I don't like about the current situation is that on a withdrawal you seem to either have to be willing to wait awhile for a check to come (20 days is what Joester said of Bodog) or you have to pay a withdrawal fee for it to arrive quicker. For some of the options that withdrawal fee is rather pricey, particularly for large withdrawals.
Thanks for the replies guys really appreciate it.

received my check from Pinnacle today.
Payable through Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. kinda weird. I hope the bank doesnt try to pay me in Canadian dollars. "let me get this straight...you took all the money you made franchising your name, and bet it AGAINST the Harlem Globetrotters?!"

Glad to hear you got paid, took awhile though.

I cashed my Pinnacle check today. It did raise some suspicions, being a "Canadian Bank" paying me in American dollars. But it worked, and Ill take it.
I havent been too active here the past week or so. My bad. Ill come back around. Good luck everyone.
