60 Minutes = Poker Scandel
60 Minutes is about to do a story on a player who stole millions of dollars from a poker room and got way with it... I thought that they were going to cover the Absolute Poker cheating scandel, but maybe this is not the case. I hope some players here will watch this story as I think it may be an interesting topic of discussion...

I saw the special last night. Very informative.
What I don't understand is that they kept referring to betting on line as "illegal", yet when I do my research, I find just the opposite, such as this recent article: WORLDLawDirect - Is online gambling legal? I would assume that as long as one pays the applicable taxes (on winnings), that all will be fine.

They are stating on these programs that online betting is "illegal" because technically it is illegal as many lawmakers interpret the IGEA (Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) this way (as a direct ban). But, the IGEA is the most vague piece of s*** earmark bill ever passed in US history. Now our president, while having the worst approval rating in US history (who I voted for twice), is pushing enforcement for this bill (against the wishes of US citizens) using "midnight" and exit tactics as he leaves office. It's only corrupt politicians with loyalties to lobbyists that are pushing for a more direct law to make internet gambling illegal on an individual basis.
