Curb Your Enthusiasm (TV Show Recommendations)

Made by (and staring) Larry David, the creator of Seinfeld. Some of you guys probably aren't going to like this, but its a more modern, funnier version of Seinfeld. Far and away the funniest show I've seen. It's on HBO, they show reruns regularly and it's available on DVD too. I highly recommend checking it out for the drought between now and the start of the bowl games.

I am a big TV fan. I watch almost every good show on television and have seen every Curb episode. I love this show. Larry David is one of the funniest guys in the world. The latest season just ended and it was hilarious.

Did you see the episode where he kills the Black Swan? That was one of the funniest Curb episodes ever.

I would also highly recommend watching 24 and The Sopranos on dvd from the beginning if you haven't seen them all (you won't be able to stop watching these two shows).

Other recommendations I have for some old TV shows to watch on DVD are (in no particular order);

Weeds (Showtime) - Comedy
Monk (USA) - Comedy / Detective (Ended)

I am also a fan of Law and Order which there are an never-ending supply of old reruns on TNT and previous seasons on DVD.

This is going to sound a little ridiculous, but some of these are just summer shows, and I usually sit down and watch them like 4-5 at a time but I do DVR all of these...

House (FOX), Modern Family (ABC), 24 (FOX when in season), Curb Your Enthusiasm (HBO), Entourage (highly recommended...HBO when in season), Dexter (SHOWTIME when in season), Royal Pains (USA when in season), Flashforward (ABC), Fringe (FOX), Two and a Half Men (CBS), How I Met Your Mother (CBS)

If I had to pick three favorites they'd be:
1. Entourage
2. Curb Your Enthusiasm
3. Dexter

I started watching Flash Forward, but I hate when ABC cancels and starts up shows at random times. It's annoying. They only care about ratings and have no loyalty to their viewers.

I do like Royal Pains as I downloaded and watched the whole first season a few days ago. I think that is coming back next summer.

Sons of Anarchy & The League...Both on FX, they just finished up the season...

Burn Notice is always a good one on USA

Scrubs even though they are changing it over to be Scrubs: Med School

Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog...they have a dvd out which contains all the 7-8? episodes...

The Guild, I'm a geek and did play mmos for sometime but its funny...

and another FX show, Its Always Sunny

I'm waiting to watch Its Always Sunny on DVD so I can get an entire season at a time. I've never seen (or even heard of) an internet show, might have to check that out. And I watched a couple episodes of Burn Notice. That's a good show for just catching it when it's on. You don't really need to follow the overall plot of the show to enjoy one episode.

Modern Family and Big Bang Theory, find a way to see some old episodes of these two online somewhere (hulu.com). Both of these shows have had me laughing out loud a few times.

I'm a big fan of modern family and dexter.

My recommendations:

Its kind of old now, but 6 feet under was a great show on hbo. I own the series box set.
Hell's kitchen(ramsey's a nut, very comical watching his blowups)
hoarders
south park(overlogging is the best episode ever in my opinion)

one to add is "rules of engagement", patrick warburton is hillarious in this.

also a big fan of those 2 shows bw! i don't have the attention span for anything over a half hour if its not sports related.

What do you like on Tuesday night? The Tuesday night line-up absolutely BLOWS...

I've watched Last Man Standing every now and again, but it's like Tool Time but with Female kids. Also, ABC tends to re-air episodes (very annoying).

I'll watch the NBA playoffs and the Orioles/Yankees on the side TV. But, just wondering if there is anything you like watching on Tuesday.

By the way, that new show on HBO, VEEP is hilarious.
