Awhile ago (a year or two) there was a video posted from youtube about the NFL owners that had stakes in offshore casinos. I believe it was posted by Louie, but does anyone still have a link to that? I have looked through this site and youtube and can't find it.

It's funny that you brought this up squirrel...I was just talking about this with a buddy of mine the other day. A friend asked me, "Isn't it legal to bet on sports in Delaware? Didn't they pass a law on that a few years ago?"
It's pretty ridiculous how this whole thing went down.
Nobody spoke a peep about this after the NFL sent their million dollar intellectual property/corporate lawyers up to Delaware to stop the state's newly passed law and plan to legalize sports betting. It's not like Delaware was just discussing the idea...and it's not like Delaware was still voting on it when the NFL killed it. This was already new Delware law...The bill had already passed and it was going to happen. They had billboards, tv ads, and the OTB's were amped up about the whole thing.
Meanwhile, the NFL's fight was unsuccessful in the courts. They lost every appeal and legal battle they fought. Still, somehow it got shut down.....Really...No Way!....Not in America?!? lol
Again, this really was supposed to be the beginning of legalized betting in a America. But, it was killed by the NFL without a peep...
Afterward, the major sports radio and tv networks stopped talking about it. I'm sure the NFL gave all the networks plenty of hot new topics to talk about and their PR people came up with a good plan. (Not sure, but I think this was right around the same time as the Vick dogfighting case) You really have to wonder how much the NFL spent in bribes and payoffs to prevent this thing from happening.
The NFL knew it was the beginning of a trend and every state would follow. They got their hands dirty and killed this thing for their own secret reasons.
One thing I can promise you; None of the major media outlets will ever talk about this again. The networks have so much stake in the NFL's success. They practically take orders from them nowadays. They don't want to create any waves with Roger Goodell and company.
Ever notice out ESPN, CBS, NBC, and FOX always side with Roger Goodell on every important issue, even though some of his decisions defies all sensible logic. It's almost like they cover the NFL's PR talking points for them. You don't want to get on the NFL's bad side if you're a sports network. The NFL basically holds them at gunpoint. Also, networks can't afford to ever lose the NFL as no other sport generates the kind of money the NFL does.
Seriously, when was the last time an ESPN personality said, "I don't like Roger Goodell". He's got more power then the president (as least more power then Delaware's congress & state senate lol).
