I don't see the RL as a sucker bet zorro. Sure it's riskier than taking the straight ML...but by how much? Roughly 30% of games end up in 1 run games. Assume that favorites win 66% of the time, that means everytime you pick the RL for a favorite you have a 1/5 chance of that favorite winning but not covering the RL. Considering the RL almost always pays out a + amount you'd be ahead taking the RL over the ML since the RL is paying out a + amount. Just my thoughts though, I don't play much RL's unless I see value or I got a good read on the game.
