The A's

Seems like it's that time of the year. I've been an A's fan since I moved to the Bay 13 years ago, and for the past 5 years or so they've been an extremely hot 2nd half team. There's a ton of money to be made on these guys, especially with Zito who has a 44-18 record in the 2nd half.

Do you guys see them making the playoffs?

it's amazing what they've done, considering the turnover they've faced. Their lineup is so young, they'll be good for al ong time to come if they can keep their talent. I just don't see them making the playoffs. Anaheim is clearly the team to beat in the west. Their are just too many teams involved in the playoff hunt. I see the wildcard going to either the Yanks, Indians, or Twins. You never know though. I've actually been an A's fan ever since the bash bros. days, back when I was a kid. My first recollections of baseball were when the As played the Reds in the WS

oakas hits for average and guess what; he is average
As my forum name indicates, I am a huge A's fan.

I think the obvious key to making the playoffs is the pitching of Haren and Blanton. These 2 guys have surprised everyone. Also Street must be consistant down the stretch.

Should be a very interesting to see if this very young team can stand up to the pressure.
