Saturday MLB and possible CFL pick

Still unsure whether or not I will make a play on the CFL game tonight. Tough night last night in CFL going 0-1-1 all because of a bad drop on the last play of the game by the team I needed to catch it. But those are the breaks.

Todays MLB

And the 2nd half record...everyone loves records!
1-0 +1.3 units

Todays play:

NYY/Boston under 9.5 -105 (1 unit)

added:
CHC/Pittsburg under 8.5 -110 (1.5 units)

Have only looked at the early games of cle/chiw and nyy/bos so far. Will look at the late afternoon games and the evening games later on.

I am looking at the games now: there are three that I kind of like, not sure yet if I will play them.

Philly -130
Cincy -135
Cubs -165

Like I said, these just jump out early on.
Philly:
Jon Lieber is 10 - 0 this month as a favorite at home.
Jon Lieber is 47 - 21 overall as a favorite at home.

I am going to look into this one some more.

Cubs:
Greg Maddux is 18 - 2 this month as a favorite at home.
When Greg Maddux is starting, his team is 10 - 3 versus PIT.

Maddux has great numbers, but lots of juice and I kind of like that Duke kid from Pitt.

The other game is more of a hunch, it's the one that stood out when I first looked at the board.

Anyway, i got things to do today, so I will have to look at these games in more detail later.

Good luck on that under play...

Phen, I've heard a number that the Cubs fit into a system play that is currently 46-11 so I may play that. I also think the cubs are a good under play but I still have to look into that.

Lieber also seems to get alot of run support when he starts so that one could be good as well.

Actually all 3 of those plays seem like good ones to me. Francis isn't good on the road and milton is fairly solid. Thats just alot of juice to go with 3 favorites like that. I'll have to think about it and look into the runline numbers for those. Really its not usually a good idea to take the run line on a home team usually according to the numbers so its hard to say in this case. I'm not really familiar with the Pirates starter today so we'll need to look into him.

Phen, I think Washington may be worth taking a look at today too. I see stew has it as one of his plays and I've seen it thrown around at JD's as well. Seems to fit a few underdog systems.

Good luck CG, I think I'm going to roll with you on this one. 2 stud pitchers with a O/U of 9.5, WOW...as the old saying goes, good pitching usually beats good hitting...we'll just have to see though. I think the BoSox used up their juice yesterday.

Yeah this pick is being made more because of trends supporting an under after a game like yesterdays blowout. I've seen some numbers like 8 unders 0 overs after the Yanks are blown out by that much against a division rival. And there are strong under trends after Boston scores 15 or more runs. Plus this is two big name pitchers on a nationally televised game which makes me like the under as well. I'm thinking a 4-3 game. I'd make this a 2 unit play but my personal rule that I"m breaking is "never bet the under when the yankees are involved"....but the trends are so strong I can't resist.

I'm thinking an under in the cubbies game as well but I haven't looked into that one yet...I'll post about it later.
