Hey guys haven't posted in awhile but I have been checking out the picks. CG you are on fire in CFL man keep it up. I have been out of town at meetings for the last month but I get on here to get your CFL plays. Going to go with the Cubs tonight. Prior has been good lately. With Walker out Pujols injuried and Sanders out this Cards line up is in trouble facing Prior. Suppan is the kind of pitcher the Cubs should tee off on. I see this game going over the total.

I don't know if anyone else is ready but I can't wait for FOOTBALL SEASON.

Cubs 1100 to 1000
Over 8 1/2 300

Parlay Cubs and over 200 for 528 worth a shot.

CG what do you think about the total on the Cards game. I know how you research the totals. More I look at it the more I like the under. Would love to know what you think on this one.

maddog, this is a really tough total. I personally wouldn't put a play in on it and I'm not even sure I could guess on this one. Possible the under but it's really hard to say. Some things I look for with totals are how each team is hitting lefties/righties depending on the starter for the other team. I look at the WHIPs of bullpens (in tonights game CHC's bullpen is average with STL's being above average). I look at trends relating to the home teams OU record as either a home dog or favorite, the road teams OU record as either a dog or favorite, how many overs/unders the home/road team has on teh road/at home agianst the total. I look at the starting pitchers WHIPS over their last 3 games and their WHIPS either on the road or at home (the common myth is that ERA is how you determine totals when it's really the pitchers WHIP, ERA is somewhat useless in my opinion). I check out how the starters do against certain totals and as dogs/favorites.

Basically for this one if I had to pick I'd take the under. Sportsbook.com percentages are showing a 50/50 split for this total, so you couldn't even make a play based on that. One thing is I don't like betting on primetime games for MLB....too much crazy shit happens in primetime games. I like just playing an average game that not many people care about. But when its primetime things change, motivation changes, atmosphere changes. So if I had to guess I'd say under but I"m really not too sure.

lol homeruns like that are my favorite. It's a primetime game, everyone is watching, and that HR either has you jumping for joy or breaking holes in the wall...as long as you're on the jumping for joy side of things then you're ok lol

So i am going head to head in fantasy baseball against a buddy of mine. I was 1 HR ahead going in and who it's HR's in this game..the two guys he has on his team of course...Edmonds and Aramis Ramirez...it's ok though i will trade the point for the win

CG that is the reason I liked the over. I felt like both teams would get some homeruns tonight being a primetime game and they have so far but nobody has been on. Anyways hope the Cubs can hang on.
