Why you like the cards tonight. Seems like a tough one to call. Just curious.

I like the Cardinals for several reasons this afternoon.. I think the Cards are too tough at home to lose 4 in a row to the Giants. Last night Felipe Alou used his bullpen aces last night- Rodriquez and Worrell may not be available. Also Pujols and Rolen have had a rough homestand. It is time for them to break out of the slump. Lastly I love the price- At this time it is only a pick.

I have to admit that I like your pick of the over for this game.

A lot of your reasons for taking the cards follow up on some of my reasons for taking the over. I see a lot of trends pointing to the under but I try not to rely on trends too much. I see an umpire behind the plate with a small strikezone, two pitchers that have been struggling this year (especially as of late), and a matchup that is due for an over. The over is 23-18 with games in St. Louis this year and the last 3 have stayed under the total. I think this matchup due for a slugfest with these two bums on the mound.
