Games have gone over the total in Morris' last eight starts. He has looked terrible over the past month. He was supposed to make the first start after the All Star break, but was held back until today, so questions about his health still linger. Peavy was battling an injury of his own, and the Cards lineup is as good as anyone's in the NL. Two shaky bullpens also helps.

SD (PEAVY/MORRIS) +140
I think this line is too high for someone who has been struggling as much as Morris has. Peavy is solid his injury that nagged him in his previous two starts is minor enough to not worry me.

ARI (DESSENS/WILLIAMS) +180
Barry Bonds is the only Giant hitter that has fared well against Dessens. Williams is good and he looked great in his last start against Arizona, but he's still a rookie, and this number is too high for him, especially against a team like Arizona.

OAK (HARDEN/SNYDER) -120
Harden makes his much anticipated major league debut, and all signs point to him having great success. This will be Snyder's first game off the DL. He's faced Oakland twice this year, and did not impress.
