La/san Diego Match Up For Sunday

Anyone got anything riding on this match? It is now the top of the 15th inning. I wonder how many fans are left watching the game, that would be one long day at the game, everyone left must be wasted by now.

Would one think that it would be safe to bet against these two teams tomorrow, as they are playing different teams.

Something to think about, and interesting to see how these teams do tomorrow. Whats the longest game, anyone know?

I would tend to agree that betting against those teams tomorrow is the smart play, but think about this: The position that is most affected is the bullpen, so if a team plays a long game and then has a quick turn around tomorrow, look at the starters for each team. If the SP is an innings eater, then I wouldn't play them. Actually, there could be better value in that team since everyone is now aware that they played a marathon game last night.

Another thing to look for, are those teams having to fly across country next game? Could be a factor. Doesn't look like either of these teams have far to go.

Peavy is pitching for SD. As good as he is, he's averaging 6 1/3 innings per start. That being said, i'm not going against him (although, a +1.5 might be in order, the price will be very manageable).

The Dodgers on the other hand will start Wolf against B. Webb. Gonna say that Arizona will be a slight favorite on the road. This is the play I like better. Webb is 4-3 with a 3.99 ERA vs. LAD, very solid stats. Wolf is 2-0 vs. Arizona in 2 starts, also Arizona is having a tough time with LHP this season, they hit lefties at a clip of .233.

Hope that's not too much, I really don't have a strong opinion about either team. I'd lean on the D'Backs and the +1.5 in the SD/Wash game tomorrow, but then again I don't have much of a clue.
