1556 - Colorado St. -3.5 vs Boise St (1st half)

Taking a smaller number on the first half with a Colorado St team that often comes out strong, only to nurse the lead at the end of regulation. They are the better team at this point. Boise is very young and dumb. Losing at home to Air Force was the precursor to a rough wake up call in the much tougher (especially compared to the WAC) Mt West. I made this line 9, so I think there's value on playing the whole game, possibly the over too. However, Id wait to possibly play the over until the 2nd half (depending on the situation and the line) when Col St defense seems to like to take some time off and is often in foul trouble. Col St has shown a tendency for strong starts and weak finishes. They cover a lot of whole game spreads in the first half, so there's much more value playing this one in the first half.

Gd luck Louie. Not a very good trend for you when you tail me. Perhaps that is overdue to turn around.
I believe Im 3-0 in MtWest so far. Not too hot in the other two. Ill update the full tally of conf picks after tonight.
The one drawback to submitting detailed writeups is that the writer is always biased. If he's good at debating his opinions and can write with any degree of literacy, games he plays can be very convincing.
But the proof is always in the pudding. I have some work to do to prove I can cook as well as I can convince.

Great analysis! I got burnt by Colorado St last year, so I have tried to keep an eye on them. I threw a little money on the whole game, but when I read your post, I decided to double up for the 1st half. BSU's Demric worried me, but CSU came up big. I hope to contribute some info, but I have been down lately, so hopefully things will start to look up. I follow the SCON some and pull for the College of Charleston. jteske... Thank u for the comments. Its like Louie said...helping someone cash in on something feels awesome. The opposite feels twice as bad. People here, who put their picks and opinions out at great risk to pride and reputation for the sole purpose of helping others and sharing information have my utmost respect. The fact that they don't shred each when things get tough or they disagree makes this forum head and shoulders above the rest in my opinion.
I really enjoy the Southern Conference. If u havn't already, u should check out a book by Pat Conroy called "My Losing Season". Its an awesome insight to the Citadel.
Love to hear more from the SoCon around here. Im going to shitcan the SunBelt next year. Was thinking to focus on a conf like SoCon or OhioValley instead. SunBelt blows...but the die is cast. Gotta stick it out.
