AUFan's 9/29/07 Plays

Like a few dogs, but still like a good number of chalk. Still had a decent week last week. I dont know what to say about Clemson/NCSt. from last week, I would have thought this would have been a spot for Bowden to show his true colors. I dont think it happens this week coming up. While the underdog is 16-2 ATS in the last 18 in the series b/w Clemson and Ga. Tech, I dont think clemson slips up here. With Choice not 100% and they way Clemson is playing, I believe Clemson wins by 7 - 10 pts.

On to the plays...

Clemson -3, 2 units

Iowa -10.5, 2 units
Iowa needs a win in the worst way. Could have pulled out the victory against Wisconsin last week. They are also out for revenge against an Indiana team that has looked good against bad competition and turned the ball over a lot against their first true opponent in Illinois last week. Line has gone from 13 to 10.5, I am liking it.

Nevada -3.5, 3 units
This is a big rivalry game for Nevada and UNLV. Nevada had an extra week to prepare for game and rest. Nevada is 11-0 ATS at home as a favorite in last three years. I know that UNLV has played well of late, and Nevada has not, but I look for Nevada to come out strong against rival.

Auburn +17.5, 2 units
If it werent for 10 turnovers in 2 games against So. Fla and Miss St., Auburn would be 4-0 and this line would be around a TD or so. I am not certain if Tuberville has righted the ship after a blow out victory against the likes of New Mexico St., but I do believe AU is not as bad as people think. This is when Tuberville is at his best; back against the wall and has to come out fighting. I think they keep it close, I am hoping for an outright when, but I think Aburn will atleast keep it close.

Ohio St -23.5, 3 units
Minnesota is bad, and ranks at the bottom of 1A in defense. OSU started slow this season, but is starting to put it together. They have won 10 straight in the Metrodome, and have covered the last 5 straight in the Metrodome.

Baylor +17, 2 units
This game has been close the last three years, and Baylor has been playing well, granted against lesser competition, but T A&M isnt exactly blowing people out.

Maryland +18.5, 2 units
Maryland should have won last week at WF, but had a 4th qtr melt down. May work against them in this spot, but I think they should keep it with in the number. They havent covered against the spread as of yet, 0-3. It is bound to change at some point. All Rutgers has played is cupcakes.

Cincinnati -14.5, 4 units, POD
That defense has looked menacing. Only giving up 7.5 pts a game. SAn Diego St. want know what hit them. This should be an easy cover for Cincy.

17-12, +15.7 units
