Early Lines BC @ VT -3.5

This will be an interesting game... however I just threw $112 down on BC, I really like over 3 points on this game because,

#1 I don't really think it matters, but I'm playing the odds here. The home team has upset the lower seed the past 5 weeks on a thursday night game. The trend has to stop some day?... maybe?

#2 Virginia Tech has absolutely NO offense at all. Even there 41-23 win against Clemson, Tyrod Taylor had 65 yards passing. They had 2 kick returns for tds and an interception return. VTech's offense is absolutely horrible. And if you've watched them at all this season, you would come to the same conclusion. They depend on special teams and defense.

#3 Boston College has a +11 turnover ratio. I think they're defense is good enough to rattle that horrid VTech offense and their offense is good enough enough to control their turnovers.

Scary Thoughts: It is being played in Blacksburg, VT has a superior special teams... however I think their defense is weaker then previous years. Also, keep in mind I am having an absolutely horrible season and you guys would be much better off trailing the opposing team I pick. Everyone in here would be wealthy, lol. But this is what im going with!

I'm rolling with V Tech -3.5

I always told myself.. when it comes to sports betting.. if it looks to good to be true.. then it probably is.. V. Tech is in a similiar position as Syracuse was this past Saturday.. and Boston College is in a similiar position that South Florida was when they were upset by Rutgers..

V. Tech is favored.. and to be honest I think Boston College is the better team.. so why not favor Boston College on the road here? It's a perfect position for Boston College to slip up as did South Florida against Rutgers.. Boston College has no business being the No. 2 team in the Nation.. like I gave credit to South Florida.. I'll do the same to Boston College.. they are a very extremely talented team on both sides of the ball.. and no questions about it they deserve to be in the Top 10.. but No. 2 is pushing it a little..

Look at this Sunday.. KC was getting +2 points on the road to Oakland.. KC won the game outright.. not to big of an upset at all.. as a matter of fact Oakland hasn't won a division game in 17 straight trys now.. now Baltimore favored -3 on the road against Buffalo.. Baltimore clearly had the better and more aggressive defense going into the game.. but a rookie QB tore them apart.. now that's an upset.. and to get to my point.. it looked to good to be true for Baltimore to only be favored -3

Same goes for South Florida only favored -2 on the road against Rutgers.. looked to good to be true..

The Colts last night.. I didn't touch the game.. I liked the Jags chances of pulling it off.. but I would never bet against Peyton Manning and Co. with a line that low..

Another PERFECT example.. last year in College Basketball.. when North Carolina hosted Duke at home.. the line opened as North Carolina favored double digits at home.. AGAINST DUKE? Come on what was Vegas thinking.. J.J. Reddick.. Sheldon Williams.. Coach K.. I was sold on Duke and wagered $1,500 on Duke plus the double digit points.. (I believe line was around +10.5).. oh boy did I learn my lesson once the game was done.. North Carolina beat Duke by around 17 points that day.. from their on I knew if it looked to good to be true.. then it probably is..

Home field advantage in College sports matters more than people think.. V. Tech knows who's coming to town.. and I assure you.. they'll be ready..

And don't take this the wrong way.. in no way am I trying to put your opinion on the game down.. just maybe trying to tell you think about it a little more.. but then there is always the golden rule.. go with your gut instincts..
