Smoes hits for average and guess what; he is average
Early Week 10 Lines

Buffalo -3 Over Miami

Buffalo beat Cincy last week and leads me to believe they can handle the fish this coming sunday without a problem...

Buffalo is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Miami

Even though the fins have 2 weeks to prepare for this game i still dont think it will happen...

Philly +3 Over Washington

Washington Struggled with the Jets...Philly lost bad bad to Dallas...Im look for Philly to bounce back and try to make it a winning season for them...

Detroit +1 Over Arizona

Look what the Lions did to Denver...Nuff Said...

Now we're talking Smoes, love these threads that get some conversation going.

Miami is completely outclassed on both sides of the ball right now, I think they can take another week off and still not get themselves right. Personally, I hate road chalk but -3 sounds good enough to take.

Philly hasn't looked good all year though (except against Detroit), also include that Monday night game earlier in the year. However, I don't see Washington lighting up the scoreboard this week and I think they can keep it close.

As for Detroit......if it looks too good to be true, it usually is. Marinelli is giving the team 2 days off this week, this is the first time he's done that this year and I'm having a tough time figuring out if this will help or hurt them, I'm leaning towards the under myself.

Love the insight on the games, i will also be leaning towards Pittsburgh over Cleveland this week considering what happened earlier this year and what the steelers did last night against the ravens...

Yeah but Baltimore is that bad Smoes, I didn't watch the game past the first quarter, but I saw lots of turnovers that I don't think Cleveland will give up. It seems to me that the Browns have been good at taking care of the football while still being able to throw the ball down the field. One thing that the Steelers do have is that they really only needed to play 1 half Monday, but now is Big Ben (the QB, not the poster) going to be healthy for this weeks game? Indications say that he is, but keep an eye on that this week.

I love the Buffalo pick. I think JP Losman will hook up with Lee Evans on a few big plays in that game. Miami is spinning it's tires right now. They haven't proven that they can stop anybody yet. Offensively they are pathetic. Loosing Ronnie Brown really hurt them as he was the only glimmer of light on that team.

I don't like the Philly pick and here's why. I really think the effort that Philly showed on Sunday night at HOME against a division rival should speak volumes. They were HORRIBLE!!! I can't find it in myself to bet on a team that just rolled over like that hoping they "bounce back". Washington is playing solid football. They did struggle against the Jets but they were playing on the road against a team that was fired up as hell to play. (ALA Cowboys & Bills) Just some food for thought but I'm taking Washington here.

As far as Detroit and Arizona I have not been a believer in Detroit at all this season but I'm starting to come around. They have looked like a team to be concerned with. They really handled a Broncos team that made the Steelers look bad.

I'm leaning towards Miami and Arizona here. I will probably bet one if not both, but it is a little early for me to say.

In Miami's defense this is one game where they have a chance to win, and generally bad teams play a little better when they have a chance for a W....also the bye tends to help teams that are playing poorly...although I believe they had a strong game with Washington in their outing, but barely covered.

As for Detroit, I just feel like when all appears to be well, is the best shot for a letdown. I remember them going 2-0 and getting their ass handed to them at Philly....when people thought they had "arrived"....could be a similar situation here.

don't forget that charlie frye was the quarterback week one when the browns lost 34-7

he was shipped out of town the next day...

my book has pittsburgh -9

tough line... i think pittsburgh wins, but that is a lot of points, especially for a team that just played on MNF...
