Agreed. Smith was invited back by Harbaugh this year and look where the Niners ended up, the NFC Championship. Yes, the Defense was a BIG reason why we ended up where we did, but Smith also played his best season thus far! The entire team supports Smith and looks up to him as a leader. Smith will continue to get better.

I am an Alex Smith FAN (few of them that there are).

Alex Smith will improve under the same system. He's finally got a coach and a system that he can continue to work under. Eli Manning said the other day "It really is all about working in the same system for most of your career" He said something along the lines of "you see new things and can help others which helps you be a better leader"...Made me think about Alex who has been under 7-8 different system in 5-6 seasons...I think Alex Smith has the qualities and the smarts to get better in a system...Just get him a big physical receiver...Alex was top 10 in QB rating in 2011-12 for a reason...It's because he's a smart QB.

Peyton needs to go a under-coached team (that is almost there on talent alone) and they can put him in there at QB....From there he can take over the offensive coordinatior duties as well. I think the Jets or the Dolphins might be a good spot too....Perhaps even Detroit (but they are totally committed to Stafford I guess) or Tennessee...
