Angry NHL Monday 11/04

A 0-1-1 night last night with buffalo losing and the ed/chi over push.
Tonight only three games in the NHL

AVS -1/2 or -1
Either or ill take them tonight. The AVS played very well in a tough early schedule mostly on the road. Tonight they begin a nice homestand on the right foot by beating up on VAN again for the second time in a week. The AVS destroyed the VAN 5-1 two games back and should be in the same boat tonight with a strong 12-4-3 record all time against VAN at home. The "homecoming" feel of this game should keep the AVS and Sakic scoring

UNDER ISLES 5 1/2
I will also take this with the little juice they are giving +120 on my board. The Isles have been aweful on the penalty kill giving up 2 PP goals in 4 games in a row. They must realize that they cant live like that in the NHL. A few teams (Isles,Rangers,San Jose) have been really hurt by the NHL crackdown which is actually ment to help open up the ice and for their superstars. Tonight the Flames come with Turek in goal posting a shutout against Buff his last time out. Both teams should tighten up to try to keep mistakes down and if they dont...both teams are only scoring at about 13% on the PP (Pitt is leading the league at over 30%). PP goals have made all the difference in the NHL this season so hopefully they will be kept in check this game and we hit the UNDER 5 1/2

see you all tomorrow
