Smile You asked for it louie!!! NHL 11/18

hey louie,

I am not getting a confident feeling on tonights game, especially on the side bet.

Pitt made some line changes the last time out to try to help their even strengh scoring, it didnt work last game but may click tonight if mario is on. Pitt from the beginning of the season I have seen as a second level team with questionable goaltending but the Mario factor came into play big time early in the season. Not to be too tough on ole Mario but I dont think we would be saying his name as much if there was not so many PP ops being handed out. I could easily see Pitt losing both against MON and not winning until they have ATL. I could also see Mario and his new line clicking and stopping thier non-winning (you cant say losing streak with the NHL) streak tonight. On the other hand, I think that Montreal is a strong team who can play a pretty tough game if they decide to. They had a little players pow-wow after losing to the Devils on the first of the home-on-home series and came out and played tough. I think that will continue and Jose has also shaped up his game. Pitt was getting a ton of PP opps early in the season and hitting at over 30% but teams (and the refs) seem to be settling in with the new rules and PP chances will only go down as the season goes along (As the PP goes so does PITT). I have no stats but it seems by looking at the scoreboards that even within the last week scoring is down and I would say so are PP ops. The lines seem to have yet to adjust. To me 6 looks too high for this game. Montreal gives up minimal PP ops and Pitt just has not been scoring at all at even strenght. I dont see these teams scoring 7 goals to win on the over but if you only have 5 1/2 on your board i would NOT give up the half a goal and take the under.

PITT/MON under 6

Angry

ok you probably should not have asked louie....This game was a total disaster...it seemed like the teams were shorthanded the entire game, so much for not calling as many penalties. This was a very ugly game 7 PP goals and 1 shorthanded give me a break.....I told you that Pitt had trouble scoring at even strength, only problem is that they scored 4 PP goals.....good thing I only went small or else I would probably have gotten sick!!
