I like the $55 tournament that they have at 9PM I believe. I don't play a lot of ring games. I haven't really been playing that often. That's why I am not really sure about the time. I will tall you that I have had more success in tournaments at Bodog then any other poker room. I really do think that some poker rooms (includin PokerStars) rig their tournaments with an algorithm based on the number of deposit/withdrawl transactions. When I do play, I only play at Bodog anymore.

cool, yeah I've noticed alot of poker sites I really don't like. The bodog tournaments seem to be pretty fair/decent though. I do alot better in tournaments as well compared to ring games it seems. plus the guaranteed prizes are usually pretty nice. Especially compared to your local casinos tournaments lol. =)

I am not really all that interested in poker but, I know the game well. Some guys that I know play for a living and are always telling me that I should get involved. One guy I know is always eager to teach me some techniques and stuff everytime I see him. But, I don't want to learn. My main problem with poker is table presence. In real games at casinos, I can't sit at the table and be patient. I either get way to antsy and eager or I start wearing my hand on my forehead when I actually get one, which usually feels like once a year. Therefore, I can only play online which is only fun at certain places. The few people that I know that are good at poker or plays for a living knows this about me so they try and change me. But, when I am at a casino, you can't pull me away from the craps tables. Just the way I am, I need faster place action at the casino. I am not there to try and milk 25 bucks an hour from a bunch of guys who look like they are half dead or hiding behind sunglasses. Another thing that bothers me about poker is that the most annoying people at the casino are always in the poker room. There are a lot of kids my age who think they are the next Phil Ivey and you just laugh under your breath at. Can't stand those tools.

haha yeah I love those types though, they got something to prove and often make mistakes because of it. I love poker, but you do have to be patient and if you're not it is hard to be successfull. laps of add don't help, so you just have to stay focused. I never really got into the craps game. Hell I haven't even been to Vegas since I've turned 21 yet.
Down the street from me is a lil card club that has paigow, blackjack, hold em, omaha. I usually stick to the hold em, I got my ass kicked in blackjack enough to not go back.
You can be the best player in the poker room, but if you're not catching some hands it doesn't really matter. Is craps a profitable game? I gotta learn the game a bit, but it seems there is alot to learn with craps. I know holdem inside and out and been playing for years.

In a Vegas casino, I am pretty sure the outside part of the board in craps is the best odds (as far as house edge goes) of any game that is against the house. Backing up your bet with a 6 or 8 rolled I hear is actually one of the smartest bets in a casino. I am not 100% if all that is true but I have heard it more then once...
But, what I know is true, is that craps is a BLAST and you can have a lot of fun playing it. You can get a hot roller and double all your money in about 20 minutes playing 3-5% of your stack on each roll. Craps is by far my favorite game in the casino.

Hey Louie, just realized your from Philly. My wife is there right now.
I play at Bodog too when I play, maybe in the future we'll be able to get enough guys to have some private tourneys or something. Maybe a 10 man SNG or something. Who knows?
I have been pleased with Bodog poker for the most part, if a bad beat is coming, it seems like you can usually see it there. The luck of the cards does seem to swing around the table from player to player, you just have to wait it out.

I am actually no longer in Philly. I was born and grew up in philly. I live a good 100 miles north now (closer to the Poconos). What's yur wife doing there?
I can definetly talk to my contact there about that. Perhaps we can combine it with a contest. My Bodog contact really wants us to get a big contest going here this football season with a good size prize but with a required deposit into Bodog in order to play in the contest. I was thinking, we can also combine that with a post-contest private poker tournament for all the players in the contest.
I have seen the worst beats in my life playing at the bigger rooms, especially pokerstars. I have seen shit that will make you think twice about playing online poker as a whole. I never see those types of terrible beats at Bodog as regularly. When they do happen, they are more rare there.
I believe Bodog's poker is legit. I have seen some number from my contact there and it really looks like all they are interested in is rake. When a poker room only cares about rake, thats a good thing. It means they aren't concerned with player balences and who is winning what. I really believe a lot of the big poker rooms out there try to keep the money in circulation and in the hands of players who cashout and deposit less often. I believe they achive this with an algo. I read some intreated stuff from guys who say this is exactly true and some of these poker rooms really do steal your money and all that 3rd part montioring is a complete crock and an under the table scheme.

She's there for some nurse practitioner conference. She comes back tomorrow.
Yeah, that sounds good for the football contest. Too bad we don't have more horse players, then maybe we could have some horse racing contests. For a smaller group of guys here and members, you do a nice job getting some good contests and sponsorships. It's too bad, just about every new person that starts posting here ends up being a douchebag anymore.

I play off and on at Bodog, decent site....but I'm semi-retired from playing live ring games at the casinos here in town so I should be retired from playing online too.....I'm game for something down the road if the opportunity presents itself.
