Down 5 kick a fg on 4th from the 20...ok I benefit
give up a 31 yard run for td..ok bad luck
get the ball to the 17 and kick a fg with 32 seconds to pull to within 6...stupid again..

do they actually think they have a better chance for a td after an on side kick with 32 seconds...

This is one for the books.

1. It was 4th and 10 when they kicked the field goal down 5 which was stupid. He should have been going for the win. Even if you don't get the first. You have all your timeouts and have a chance to stop them and see the ball with more then a minute and decent field position. Your chances of getting another onside kick is slim.
2. That was probably intentional since that was the only way they were going to see the ball again and have a chance to win.
3. Very dumb. He kicked that on 1st down too. You are already inside the 20. You think you are going to get there again? Get the TD...

Other Points:

A. I don't know why he kicked the first onside kick. There was 2:30 and he had all 3 timeouts which means his defense could have stopped them and got the ball back with more then 2 minutes on the clock which is more then plenty of time. That's why it's called a "2 minute drill"

B. It was also funny when they kicked off after making the field goal. He kicked it deep and out of bounds. What was the point of that? Then they called offsides on the receiving team which was a first for me. So the Penalties off-set and they got to try another onside kick where Jerevcious almost took it to the house.

I had Cleveland here and I was hysterically laughing at Eric "Man-Gina". It looked like bad game management to me. I loved how the FOX broadcasters where praising him for poor coaching. Let your players win the game for you. You can't do it for them. Stop over thinking the situation.

I didn't see the game, and with what I do know about how he managed the game, then if he gave up and let them score, that wouldn't surprise me....if that is the case maybe the guy could have stopped at the goaline and let the clock run some more.

Obviously neither time should the Jets have kicked the field goal.....Now follow this logic.

When he kicked the first one to bring it to 5....it could have raised speculation that he bet the game....

When he kicked the second one it removed speculation...

Combine the two and I speculate that he is a MORON.

It was the only way they were going to be able to see the ball again. Otherwise Cleveland could have run out the clock completely.

What it boils down to is that the Jets suck, ManGina is an over-rated coach, and Cleveland was the right side in that game.
