I agree 100% and I am kind of glad that you started this thread. It's amazing how many people go about their day like sheep and refuse to use their brains.

Here is something that really butters my balls and I find absolutely ridiculous; People who go to Starbucks to pay $5 (or more) for a cup of coffee when you can get the same cup of coffee (if not better) across the street at another vendor for $2 (or less). Do these people go to Starbucks because they think that Starbucks coffee comes from magic coffee beans that other stores do not carry? If they do, it couldn't be the furthest from the truth. There are about 10 franchises that I could name where you can get a large cup for 3 or 4 dollars cheaper and get better quality coffee as well.

The best part is, these are the same people who sit there at Starbucks and complain to each other about paying $3.50 for a gallon of gas. You just wanna grab em' by the throat and say, "Do you realize you just paid more then $5 for a cup of coffee??!!" If a cup of coffee is worth $5 or more, then a gallon of gas is worth $3.00. In fact, I think a gallon of gas is worth a lot more then a cup of coffee.

If these same jerks would just switch to Dunkin' Donuts, Sheetz, or any other cheaper cup of coffee, or latte, or mocha, (or whatever hot caffeine people drink now) they would save $3 (minimum) per day on coffee alone. This comes out to about $20 a week or about $80 a month which is enough to fill your gas tank almost twice a month.

People, there is nothing magical about Starbucks! You are paying for a name. In fact, the coffee from Starbucks tastes more like tar and syrup then coffee. If you go to Starbucks daily, just go try coffee at different places and compare the taste to price. I guarantee you will find a better place which saves you at least $2-$3 a day on COFFEE.

Use your brain. That's why god gave it to you.

You are right. The first time I tried starbucks coffee, I took one sip, took the lid off and poured double the milk in it. It really is disgusting how thick and strong they make their coffee.

As far as the newspaper goes, some major newspapers charge a subscription fee for reading their premier articles. I do occasionaly pick up a New York Post (for 50 cents) for some reading entertainment when I am going to be on a plane or not going to be on the internet for a while. But, getting a subscription to your home for news that you can just read online, isn't worth the $5-$10/week that newspapers charge at all.

Canadian boy has Tim Hortons on every other block, they have truly taken over Canada, and yes Louie I was at my first Starbucks with a the buddy you are talking about who just has to have it, tried a couple of sips and poured it out, that coffee tastes like sh*t, must be an aquired taste like drinking warm cans of 50, same buddy loves warm beer, something wrong with him, parents must have dropped him on his head when he was a baby.

The other thing I wanted to add was the price of gas as compared to the price of coffee, everyone bitches about the price of gas and yet you will spend more money for a bottle of water that some factory has boiled water out of the taps and put into a nice bottle. Are you kidding me? water and coffee costs more to make than gasoline, not likely.

I am not saying that gas is cheap, but there is a lot of other shit in this country that consumers should be outraged about besides the price of a gallon of gas. Like JT just said; bottled water & Starbucks coffee...two of the most rediculous things that millions of people buy everyday. At least you get something out of a gallon of gas. I just wish some people would just stop and think about things logically for a change instead of just bitching and crying like babies. I think the worst thing about this country (besides the gambling laws) is that for some reasonm everyone thinks that they are owed something because they are an american.

I'm a huge fan of Speedway coffee. All different kinds, all different kinds of creamers, sugars, brews and sizes. The big one (24oz) runs you $1.29... I'm not an every day coffee drinker, but when I do thats my stop. It also makes me feel much less guilty about paying $3.75 a gallon for gas. I heard they are going to start playing video porn at the pumps... that way you can watch people get fucked worse then you are.
