TL's Memorial Day Picks
I've been busy lately so I haven't had time to post picks/write ups. Yesterday my picks were okc and under. The reason why I've picked okc is because coming off two consecutive wins after losing to lakers once they're hot and has cover the spread. Last night the odds maker gave a psychological edge with the lines, if you take a look at the odds for the opening line for first half and the whole game -- for the whole game it was 201 and 1st half 102. Closing line the u/o for 1st half remained the same. While for the whole game it closed at 204. Do the math 102 * 2 = 204. The most important factor is that the odds first half stayed the same. Jumping on to second half it was 102 as well with that on top I predicted it would be over 2nd half. The strategy I use is sharp betting, often risky but if studied enough with past results you can see a pattern. Chasing the sharp movement isn't easy because you could hesitate and make a false move or the line closes before you make a move. Take for example the game on Saturday with Boston and phila, at the last minutes the juice at multiple bookmakers changed. The juice was on phila, at the last few minutes the juice flipped like no other. I watch the lines at pinnacle, bovada, hilton, and caesars mostly because their lines they give are very accurate and sharp. Any way, I'm off topic and some could disagree my method of going against the spread or analyzing the outcome of the totals.
Here are my picks for the standoff today for Boston and Miami.
I'm taking Miami -8.0.
A revenge card plays a huge factor this game with 3 consecutive losses to Boston who struggled terribly against the 76ers... And keep in mind their latest meeting LeBron and Wade were on the bench watching the team hopelessly trying to beat the Celtics.
I will post the totals in a moment.
Oh and a brief joke and fact -- the person with the alias ftpwnage is quite a character, he posts his ridiculous wager amount with the losing team every time. If you were to do an ATS with him choosing the opposing team, you'd probably win 20-1-0. I gave us a 1 loss to save him from some embarrassment.
