We can only hope that Game 6 of the Fall Classic proves to be as exciting as Game 2 was when these same two pitchers were on the mound. Colby Lewis and Jaime Garcia combined to allow just one run in 13.2 innings of work. However, the fine performance by Garcia was squandered, as the suddenly bumbling St. Louis bullpen blew the game, the first of its two terrible showings in these playoffs.

Meanwhile, now it’s Texas that is one game away from winning the Fall Classic after taking two out of three in the Lone Star State. This has definitely not been the prettiest World Series for the Rangers, as they have been outscored by three runs in spite of its advantage in the series, but this is also the first time that the franchise can truly taste a championship.

In the end though, there’s a reason that the Cardinals are favored in this game, and that they will be in Game 7 as well. We aren’t going to count out the Redbirds yet, especially in their own backyard, and we think, at minimum, this one will be forced into a seventh and decisive game on Thursday night. St. Louis Cardinals @ Texas Rangers Game 6 Predictions: St. Louis -115
