The Twins are one of the worst teams in baseball at just 8-22, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t going to be able to win this game on Thursday night. Jason Marquis is going to be on the bump, and he has been one of the more consistent pitchers that this team has had for the last couple of years. Yes, he has a 5.40 ERA, and he has had a terrible time trying to strike guys out in the last few years, but he is still a remotely consistent pitcher that has the ability to get the job done. Really though, this is a play that is against Toronto and its pitcher, Henderson Alvarez. He is 2-2 with a 2.83 ERA, but he has one of the worst K/9s in the league and has seemingly been getting more lucky than being good. We just don’t think that this is all that much more than a 50/50 proposition, and in the end, we are going to be riding with the Twins to try to notch their ninth win of the season.
