MLB Lines & Probable Starting Pitchers
Boston Red Sox (Jon Lester) -128
San Francisco Giants (Tim Lincecum) +118
Total: 7

The Red Sox are beginning a three-game set against the Giants this week, and this is the start of what could be a devastating road trip for the club. The Sox are still 20-games above .500, but this West Coast swing could prove to be difficult, knowing that the team is only 33-30 away from Fenway Park this year. We do like what LHP Jon Lester brings to the table, knowing that he is 10-6 on the season, but his ERA is up to 4.15, and he has led the club to losses in each of his last three starts (including as a -189 favorite against the Arizona Diamondbacks). The Giants stink this year, and RHP Tim Lincecum has been a wild enigma, but he was working on a stretch of three straight great starts before getting ripped by the Washington Nationals in his last outing. We have to think that the “Freak” is going to come up with one of his better performances in this game, and if he can manage to do that, the Giants are going to knock off the Red Sox for sure. Boston won’t win this game more than half the time if it is lucky.

Boston Red Sox @ San Francisco Giants Pick: San Francisco Giants +118
Boston Red Sox @ San Francisco Giants Score Prediction: Giants 4- Red Sox 2
