MLB Betting Odds & Probable Starting Pitchers
Minnesota Twins (Mike Pelfrey) +120
Chicago White Sox (Andre Rienzo) -125
Total: 8.5

The White Sox and the Twins are going to have problems with their pitchers on Saturday. RHP Mike Pelfrey has had an awful year at 4-9 with a 5.23 ERA, but he hasn’t gotten a lot of help from his team either. Minnesota has averaged just 3.9 runs per game in his starts this year. RHP Andre Rienzo has only made two starts in his career, and he has been okay in those outings. The righty has allowed five total runs, two of which have been earned over 13 innings. The issue that we have with Rienzo is that he is walking too many batters. Three walks in each of his first two starts in the bigs isn’t all that great. That said, this is a tough game to try to handicap, as both of these teams stink and have very suspect pitchers that are going to be on the mound. That said, these offenses are pathetic, and with OF Alex Rios finally being traded to the Texas Rangers, the White Sox are in that much worse shape. We think that this is a game that somehow will find its way ‘under’ the ‘total’.

Twins @ White Sox Pick: Under 8.5
Twins @ White Sox Score Prediction: Twins 4 – White Sox 3
