On Wednesday, there are a handful of games on the basketball television schedule that we have circled that should be good ones. Check out our NBA picks for Wednesday!

NBA Matchup: Portland Trail Blazers @ Atlanta Hawks
Date: Wednesday, January 18th, 8:00 ET
Location: Phillips Arena, Atlanta, GA

NBA Betting Odds: Atlanta -1.5NBA TV Schedule: ESPN

The Hawks have won six in a row in this series, and they are 6-1 SU this year at home with the one loss being to the Miami Heat in OT. However, we just think that this line looks awfully, awfully shady. Atlanta is down three players in this one, and the Trail Blazers have an essentially full squad that will be complete if Marcus Camby gets back into the fold. Portland is a sneaky team this year out West, and we think that it will find a way to win this game with all of the Atlanta injuries being present.

NBA Pick: Portland +1.5

NBA Matchup: Dallas Mavericks @ Los Angeles Clippers
Date: Wednesday, January 18th, 10:30 ET
Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA

NBA Betting Odds: Los Angeles OTBNBA TV Schedule: ESPN

There isn’t a spread up quite yet for the Clippers, but we know that we are fans of them in this one. Dallas is a wreck right now, and we just don’t think that it has the ability to keep up with the Clip Joint, especially if Mo Williams and Chris Paul play. Vince Carter is out with a foot injury, and the team is coming off of a game in which it struggled just to reach 70 against the Lakers in this building. Back the hosts on Wednesday night as long as they aren’t laying more than four or five.

NBA Pick: Los Angeles
