On Wednesday, there are a handful of games on the basketball television schedule that we have circled that should be good ones. Check out our NBA picks for Wednesday!
NBA Matchup: Memphis Grizzlies @ New Jersey Nets
Date: Wednesday, February 15th, 7:30 ET
Location: Prudential Center, Newark, NJ
NBA Betting Odds: Memphis -3
NBA TV Schedule: NBA TV
This is a tremendously ugly game for both sides. The Nets just aren’t good at all, while the Grizzlies haven’t played all that well on the road this year. Injuries are mounting on both sides, as Zach Randolph, Sam Young, Darrell Arthur, Shawne Williams, Brook Lopez, Deshawn Stevenson, and Mehmet Okur are all going to be sitting on the sidelines for this one. Rudy Gay and Mike Conley Jr. clearly make up the more talented side here, but the Nets aren’t totally hopeless with Deron Williams, who knows that he is going to be playing for a new contract here in the offseason unless he happens to resign with the Nets before that point. Even though Jersey is just 3-10 SU at home this year, we tend to think that it is going to pull off the mild upset in this one.
NBA Pick: New Jersey +3
NBA Matchup: Portland Trail Blazers @ Golden State Warriors
Date: Wednesday, February 15th, 10:30 ET
Location: Oracle Arena, Oakland, CA
NBA Betting Odds: Golden State -3
NBA TV Schedule: ESPN
Golden State is really playing well right now, and we backed it a few days ago during one of these three straight covers that it has amassed. Meanwhile, Portland looks like a wreck all of a sudden. The team has lost three in a row at home outright after losing just one home game for the whole season before that point, and now it has to go on the road, where it has just four wins all season long (most of which have come against lousy teams). LaMarcus Aldridge might not be ready to go in this one after injuring his ankle in last night’s blowout loss to the lowly Washington Wizards, and if he can’t go, the Warriors are clearly the better of the two teams on the court.
NBA Pick: Golden State -3
