On Wednesday, there are a handful of games on the basketball television schedule that we have circled that should be good ones. Check out our NBA picks for Wednesday!

NBA Matchup: New York Knicks @ Washington Wizards
Date: Wednesday, February 8th, 8:00 ET
Location: Verizon Center, Washington DC
NBA Betting Odds: Washington -1
NBA TV Schedule: NBA TV

Are we reading this right that the Wizards are actually favored in this one? And why not? The Knicks are going to certainly be without Carmelo Anthony, and they probably won’t have Amare Stoudemire either. Jeremy Lin, the newest flavor of the month at point guard isn’t going to score in the 20s every single night either. The Wizards have been playing better basketball of late, and if they can get Rashard Lewis back in the lineup for this one, they really should be able to win this one against a depleted squad.

NBA Pick: Washington -1

NBA Matchup: Houston Rockets @ Portland Trail Blazers
Date: Wednesday, February 8th, 10:30 ET
Location: Rose Garden, Portland, OR
NBA Betting Odds: Portland -7
NBA TV Schedule: NBA TV

We backed the Blazers two nights ago versus Oklahoma City only to fall just short in overtime. This time, we are going to go against them even though they are clearly one of the best home teams in the league. Houston has almost quietly amassed the exact same record as teams like the Lakers and the Jazz, and unlike those teams, this is a squad that hardly anyone is talking about. We think that we are getting some nice value here with the underdogs, and though the Rockets are probably going to ultimately end up getting beaten, we do think that they are going to show themselves well and stick within a handful of points.

NBA Pick: Houston +7
