On Saturday, there are a handful of games on the basketball television schedule that we have circled that should be good ones. Check out our NBA picks for Saturday!
NBA Matchup: New York Knicks @ Indiana Pacers
Date: Saturday, March 17th, 7:00 ET
Location: Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN
NBA Betting Odds: Indiana -4.5
NBA TV Schedule: MSG
The Knicks are starting to play a bit better ball under the direction of new Head Coach Mike Woodson, but we think that that luster is going to wear off eventually. The Pacers are a great team, and they do surprisingly generally play pretty well defensively. The Knicks didn’t make the move at the trade deadline that they probably really needed to make to change the culture of the team, and now, they are going to pay the ultimate price, perhaps of not even getting into the playoffs. The Pacers should get the job done on Saturday in what could be a big time romp in Indianapolis.
NBA Pick: Indiana -4.5
NBA Matchup: Philadelphia 76ers @ Chicago Bulls
Date: Saturday, March 17th, 8:00 ET
Location: United Center, Chicago, IL
NBA Betting Odds: Chicago -5.5
NBA TV Schedule: WGN
The 76ers keep looking for some of those signature wins against the best teams in basketball, and this would be yet another chance to get the job done against one of those teams. The problem is that they were just beaten last night in a physical game against the Heat, and teams that have had to play back to backs like this one just don’t generally turn out to be in that great of shape. Derrick Rose didn’t play again last night versus Portland in a game that ended in a very predictable loss in the first game that the Blazers played after firing Nate McMillan. Still, the talent is there for the Bulls whether Rose and the often absent Richard Hamilton are in or out of the lineup, and we are convinced that they will out-defend the Sixers, who are a team based nearly solely on their defense.
NBA Pick: Chicago -5.5
