It’s time to tip off another great day of NBA betting action here at Cappers Info, and we are set to make our free basketball picks for some of the best games on the docket on Friday, 3/16/12.

NBA Matchup: Miami Heat @ Philadelphia 76ers
Date: Friday, March 16th, 7:00 ET
Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA
NBA Betting Odds: Miami -3.5
NBA TV Schedule: ESPN

The rest of the role players are really struggling for the Heat right now offensively, and if that turns out to be the case once again on Friday night, they are going to be in a heck of a lot of trouble. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are going to be matched up against some of the top perimeter defenders in the league, and if there is a weakness to this squad, it is one that Chris Bosh needs to take advantage of. The 76ers have played great defensive ball all year long, and this is the type of game that really needs to be won if Philly is going to prove that it is truly one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference this year. Don’t be all that shocked if the Sixers come out and pummel the Heat to get back on track and to keep the Atlantic Division lead intact.

NBA Pick: Philadelphia +3.5

NBA Matchup: San Antonio Spurs @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Date: Friday, March 16th, 9:30 ET
Location: Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, OK
NBA Betting Odds: Oklahoma City -3.5
NBA TV Schedule: ESPN

The Thunder really feel like they should be favored by more than 3.5 in this game, especially knowing that the Spurs are going to be short a body until the newly acquired Stephen Jackson finally settles into his third team over the course of the last three days. Still, what we know about San Antonio is that it is running all over the place right now, and no team has averaged more over the course of its last five games offensively than it has. The Thunder haven’t gotten a lot of great offensive contribution from the rest of their players aside from Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, and with both players dealing with head injuries that have to be nagging right now, we will take our chances with the points on our side.

NBA Pick: San Antonio +3.5
