It’s time to tip off another great day of NBA betting action here at Cappers Info, and we are set to make our free basketball picks for some of the best games on the docket on Monday, 2/20/12.
NBA Matchup: Atlanta Hawks @ Chicago Bulls
Date: Monday, February 20th, 4:00 ET
Location: United Center, Chicago, IL
NBA Betting Odds: Off The Board
NBA TV Schedule: ESPN
The Bulls are going to come into this holiday soiree off of a terrible loss to the lowly Nets. We’re going to chalk this one up to just an awful performance that was clearly a bit of an outlier in a string of great results. Chicago just has to get Derrick Rose back in the fold, and the possibility is there that this will be the game in which that happens. The Hawks are coming off of a terrible road trip on the West Coast, and with six losses in their last nine games, we’re just not all that sure that they are anywhere near as good as their record says they are. Atlanta could still be in for some more freefalling before the All-Star break this week.
NBA Pick: Chicago Bulls
NBA Matchup: Boston Celtics @ Dallas Mavericks
Date: Monday, February 20th, 8:00 ET
Location: American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX
NBA Betting Odds: Dallas -6
NBA TV Schedule: TNT
The champs had their winning streak stopped on Sunday afternoon at the hands of Jeremy Lin and the Knicks, but this clearly was a case of just running into a team playing better basketball than they were. The Mavs are still legit, and we think that they are going to get back to their winning ways in a hurry, especially against a Boston team that is going to have to try to counter the likes of Shawn Marion and a red hot Dirk Nowitzki with Jermaine O’Neal and Chris Wilcox. Both Kevin Garnett and Brandon Bass are out of the lineup, and once again, it is really going to show on Monday night.
NBA Pick: Dallas -6
NBA Matchup: Portland Trail Blazers @ Los Angeles Lakers
Date: Monday, February 20th, 10:30 ET
Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
NBA Betting Odds: Los Angeles -4
NBA TV Schedule: TNT
Kobe and the Lakers are back in action on Monday night at home, and they are coming off of a bad loss to Phoenix on the road on Sunday. There is probably some truth to the fact that Bryant sent a public message to management to either trade or not trade Pau Gasol. The team has been inconsistent, and Gasol is sometimes a part of the problem. Portland comes to town off of a great performance against Atlanta at home, and now, it has a great shot to get back on track. The Blazers are 27-10 ATS in the last 37 in this series, and they should be the right side now that LaMarcus Aldridge is back in the lineup on Monday night.
NBA Pick: Portland +4
