Three series that are proving to be quite close continue on Wednesday, May 2nd. We take our chances at making winning NBA picks for the three games that are on tap that are surely not to be missed for Hump Day!
NBA Playoffs Matchup: Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs Game 2
Date: Wednesday, May 2nd, 7:00 ET
NBA Playoffs Lines: San Antonio -11.5 (204)
We played on the Jazz the first time around and really got bitten by it, but this time, we think that San Antonio is the right play. Sure, Tony Parker had a game that was out of this world in Game 1, but do you really think that Manu Ginobili is going to score just seven points on 3-of-10 shooting in Game 2? We really don’t believe that to be the case. The Jazz just look like they are overmatched in this series, and especially after last season when San Antonio really screwed around in its series with the Grizzlies, we don’t think that it is going to take any chances. This should be another blowout on Wednesday.

NBA Playoffs Matchup: Indiana Pacers @ Orlando Magic Game 3
Date: Wednesday, May 2nd, 7:30 ET
NBA Playoffs Lines: Off The Board (XXX)
These first two games of this series have been quite odd to say the least, and we have a hard time figuring out which one of these two teams is going to have the edge in the pivotal Game 3 to determine which team will take a 2-1 series lead. Indiana is coming off of the best half of basketball that either team has played in this series, but home court advantage could be crucial for an Orlando team that really lives and dies by the three-pointer. We haven’t seen the Magic get hot from the outside yet in this series, and this is the perfect time for that to happen. It’s time for Orlando to prove that it will still have a team that is capable of competing when it comes time for Dwight Howard to pull a “magic act” and disappear from the City Beautiful for good.

NBA Playoffs Matchup: Los Angeles Clippers @ Memphis Grizzlies Game 2
Date: Wednesday, May 2nd, 9:30 ET
NBA Playoffs Lines: Memphis -6 (185)
The Grizzlies have had a few days to sit and digest what happened over the course of the weekend. They blew an historic lead that cost them the advantage in this series, and they now know if they don’t end up winning this one, that their time in the postseason is sure to be short. In the end though, they were the better team in Game 1 and the better team by a healthy margin. They’ll be the ones laughing last after Wednesday, as the time off really gave them the chance to reassess where they are this season. The Clippers won’t know what hit them, and Memphis isn’t going to get off of the gas pedal this time around.
