This is another one of these games like yesterday’s Wichita State/Tennessee game where a mid-major team has to go on the road to take on one of the big boys that probably isn’t living up to its potential. The 49ers are the only team in the A-10 without a blemish this year, though the schedule hasn’t been all that tough in reaching that 9-0 mark. The team is truly overachieving though, including posting an upset on the road at the Davidson Wildcats. Miami just strikes us as the significantly better side, though. There just isn’t going to an answer for G Shane Larkin, G Durand Scott, or C Reggie Johnson, all of which are averaging at least 12.8 points per game this year. Johnson is a double-double man, as he is averaging 10.8 points and 2.2 blocks per game. Now that these three are all on the court at the same time along with G Trey McKinney Jones and F Kenny Kadji, Head Coach Jim Larranaga has himself a heck of a team. This should be a double-digit blowout on Friday night in South Beach.

Charlotte vs. Miami Pick: Miami Hurricanes -7.5
Charlotte vs. Miami Prediction: Miami 77 – Charlotte 62
