Foes from the SEC and the Big East finish off their challenge against one another on Friday night, and in the showcase game, the Florida Gators will try to beat the college basketball odds against the Syracuse Orange.

College Basketball Matchup: Florida Gators @ Syracuse Orange
Date: Friday, November 29th, 7:00 ET
Location: Carrier Dome, Syracuse, NY
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN, ESPN3.com

The Gators have only been beaten in one game this year, and that duel came at Value City Arena against the Ohio State Buckeyes. That being said, the team has pretty much just stormed through the rest of its competition, scoring at least 91 points in four of its five victories. Of course, we don’t expect to see the blue and orange put forth that type of scoring effort on Friday, but we do see how this could become a very uncomfortable game for the Cuse.

Whereas Head Coach Billy Donovan and company are experienced and went through a brutal test in Columbus a few weeks ago, the Orange really haven’t had that big of a test yet. The only viable game this year to date was a neutral site victory over the Virginia Tech Hokies. We’re just not all that impressed with Scoop Jardine, Chris Joseph, and Brandon Triche leading the way for Syracuse, and with all of the off the court garbage going on in upstate New York, we think that this is the perfect time for the Gators to take a bite out of one of the top teams in the country. Don’t be shocked if this one ends in an upset.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Florida Gators +6
