For the first time in a number of years, the city of Bloomington is going to be flying high for a college basketball betting battle. The undefeated North Carolina Tar Heels are going to face their biggest test in years when the No. 1 team in the country, the Texas Longhorns come to town.

College Basketball Matchup: Texas Longhorns @ North Carolina Tar Heels
Date: Wednesday, December 21st, 7:00 ET
Location: Dean Smith Center, Chapel Hill, NC
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN,

The Tar Heels have had a terrible history going against the Longhorns, including getting upset last year down in Austin in a clash between two teams that really thought that they had Final Four potential. This year’s showdown could have been just as big had Texas returned Tristan Thompson and Jordan Hamilton, but alas, neither came back. That being said, the Longhorns are absolutely incorrectly being overlooked.

J’Covan Brown might be the best pure scorer on the court on either side, and that’s saying something considering how much talent there is going to be on the court in Carolina Blue. UNC has had its struggles this year, losing to UNLV and Kentucky and getting relatively close calls from Appalachian State and Long Beach State, teams that had to come from a long way’s away to get to Tobacco Road and should have gone down relatively easily. This is going to be the fourth time this year that the Tar Heels fail to cover a game at home, as the Longhorns are going to give them a run for their money when push comes to shove. Don’t be shocked if this game is a heck of a lot closer than the odds suggest. Take the dozen points and know that an upset could be in the cards.
