Down in the Aloha State, two teams that are vying for spots in the NCAA Tournament duke it out in NCAA basketball betting action, as the Baylor Bears take on the West Virginia Mountaineers.

College Basketball Matchup: West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Baylor Bears
Date: Friday, December 21st, 9:00 ET
Location: Stan Sheriff Center, Honolulu, HI
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN, ESPN3.com

Baylor and West Virginia are both incredibly talented teams, and both are probably legitimate Top 25 squads right now, but if either one has a tough go of it in conference play this year, it really could have a tough sell getting into the dance because neither one really played that tough of a schedule. This is going to be the most difficult game for both of these teams, and the winner is going to get a huge resume boost, while the loser is going to go into 2012 with a clear void of big time victories.

The interesting part about this game is how tired WVU’s stars are probably going to be. Both Kevin Jones and Darryl Bryant who, at times, are the only two scorers that this team really has, played all 45 minutes in the overtime victory against Missouri State. Meanwhile, the Bears were a lot more spread out, as only Perry Jones III played even 30 minutes. We also tend to think that, despite the lack of respect that the Bears are getting with their weak schedule, that they are absolutely the better team. As long as the Big XII reps show the heart and desire to want to be playing in this game, they’ll come out and post a relatively comfortable victory over a team that has to be tired and worn out.
