These games in the ACC generally haven’t been all that hard to handicap this year, as home court advantage really has stood up, especially in a situation where the home team is coming in with a lot to prove and a chip on its shoulder. This is another one of those games. The Cavaliers have a heck of a lot of bad losses on their resume. They were beaten by Georgia Tech, Clemson, Wake Forest, Old Dominion, Delaware, and George Mason, and those losses aren’t going anywhere. However, for all of those losses, they also have wins over Maryland on the road, NC State at home, North Carolina at home, an improving Tennessee team at home, and Wisconsin on the road. It’s a vexing case for the dance for sure, one that would be improved drastically with a ‘W’ over the Dookies. Most importantly, Virginia is a whopping 12-1-1 ATS to show for its work here at home on the campaign, and there is no doubt that that will prove to be a sticking point for bettors when it is getting points at home against the Blue Devils. Duke just hasn’t been special on the road at 2-5 ATS on the season, and it is lucky to have those two. This isn’t the same team on the road, and it is going to show at John Paul Jones Arena once again on Thursday night.

Duke vs. Virginia Pick: Virginia Cavaliers pk
Duke vs. Virginia Prediction: Virginia 67 – Duke 61
