Monday night’s college hoops schedule is posted at Cappers Info, and we are taking a close look at some of the best games on the slate and making our NCAA basketball picks for the duels ahead.

College Basketball Matchup: Syracuse Orange @ Cincinnati Bearcats
Date: Monday, January 23rd, 7:00 ET
Location: Fifth Third Arena, Cincinnati, OH
College Basketball Odds: Syracuse -5
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN,

The Cuse just lost for the first time over the weekend, and we’re not all that sure that they aren’t going to be in for a second straight defeat. Since that nasty loss against Xavier that ended in a brawl and a slew of suspensions, the Bearcats have only lost twice. One loss was in OT, and the two defeats came by a combined five points. We’ll take the points in this one, knowing that UC is going to at least keep this one close.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Cincinnati +5

College Basketball Matchup: Texas A&M Aggies @ Kansas Jayhawks
Date: Monday, January 23rd, 9:00 ET
Location: Phog Allen Fieldhouse, Lawrence, KS
College Basketball Odds: Kansas -17.5
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN,

The Jayhawks are playing as well as any team in America right now, but we just don’t know if laying 17.5 is a great idea in too many conference games like this one. A&M has really gotten trashed in all of its big road games this year, and it needs an upset like this eventually to have a shot at dancing. We don’t think that the Aggies will get the job done, but we do think that they’ll at least keep this one within two touchdowns or so.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Texas A&M +17.5
