Sunday night’s college hoops schedule is posted at Cappers Info, and we are taking a close look at some of the best games on the slate and making our NCAA basketball picks for the duels ahead.

College Basketball Matchup: Kentucky Wildcats @ Florida Gators
Date: Sunday, March 4th, 12:00 ET
Location: O’Connell Center, Gainesville, FL
College Basketball Odds: Florida -4
College Basketball TV Schedule: CBS

It’s Senior Day for the Gators, and you can bet that the O-Dome is going to be rocking. These two teams didn’t belong on the same planet when they met at Rupp Arena, but UF is a lot different team at home than on the road. The Wildcats have absolutely nothing to play for beyond the perfect season in the SEC, and we think that Head Coach John Calipari is a heck of a lot more concerned about the way that his team is preparing for March Madness knowing that a No. 1 seed is absolutely in the bag. Don’t be shocked if the blue and orange come up with their biggest win of the season to move up in the madness.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Florida +4

College Basketball Matchup: Ohio State Buckeyes @ Michigan State Spartans
Date: Sunday, March 4th, 4:00 ET
Location: Jack Breslin Student Events Center, East Lansing, MI
College Basketball Odds: Michigan State -2.5
College Basketball TV Schedule: CBS

If the Spartans can take down the Buckeyes on Sunday, they will likely have the inside track to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament with the outright Big Ten title in tote. OSU will get a share of the league title with a win, and that could be split three ways by the time Sunday is said and done with. MSU was able to use its stifling defense to win in Columbus a few weeks ago, and we see no reason why the Buckeyes will be able to figure this one out on Sunday. Sure there is some revenge to talk about, but we just don’t like the way that Ohio State is playing right now, and we think that the Spartans are ready to finish out this year with a perfect home record, especially after the loss at Indiana.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Michigan State -2.5

College Basketball Matchup: Illinois Fighting Illini @ Wisconsin Badgers
Date: Sunday, March 4th, 1:00 ET
Location: Kohl Center, Madison, WI
College Basketball Odds: Wisconsin -10.5
College Basketball TV Schedule: CBS

Matters for the Illini are clearly dire right now, and they need a big time upset on the road to have any chance of dancing in all likelihood. The Badgers have no doubt about their spot on the dance floor, but they could be moving as high as the No. 3 line when it is all said and done with a nice run in the Big Ten Tournament. Defensively, this Wisconsin team is just stifling, but the offense sometimes has some issues. Illinois could at least manage to stay within 10 in this one even though it has no confidence and has been terrible on the road.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Illinois +10.5

College Basketball Matchup: Michigan Wolverines @ Penn State Nittany Lions
Date: Sunday, March 4th, 1:00 ET
Location: Bryce Jordan Center, University Park, PA
College Basketball Odds: Michigan -5
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN

About the only way that the Wolverines are going to get beaten in this one is if they beat themselves. They clearly have more on the line right now, as they are playing for seeding in the NCAA Tournament and potentially a share of the Big Ten title, while the Nittany Lions are just trying to get out of their own way. PSU has had a history of getting blasted in games like this one, but when we see over 70% on the road team in a game that really looks a bit fishy, we have to wonder whether the motivation on Senior Day is going to be greater for the little guys than the big boys.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Penn State +5

College Basketball Matchup: Clemson Tigers @ Florida State Seminoles
Date: Sunday, March 4th, 12:00 ET
Location: Donald L. Tucker Center, Tallahassee, FL
College Basketball Odds: Florida State -7
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN, ESPN3.com

The Seminoles are consistently finding ways to win games on both sides of the court right now, and they are charging hard towards the ACC Tournament. Clemson has a shot at getting a first round bye for the upcoming conference tourney with a win and some help, though it is clear that this is a bad mismatch for the Tigers. FSU remembers getting trashed by 20 at Littlejohn Coliseum two months ago, and it is going to return the favor to the men in purple and orange on Sunday afternoon.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Florida State -7

College Basketball Matchup: Illinois State Redbirds vs. Creighton Blue Jays
Date: Sunday, March 4th, 2:05 ET
Location: Scottrade Arena, St. Louis, MO
College Basketball Odds: No Line
College Basketball TV Schedule: CBS College Sports

We don’t quite have a line yet in the wee hours of Sunday, but we wanted to add in our two cents about the MVC finale. Creighton knows that it has absolutely nothing to lose in this one, and the truth of the matter is that save for an 11th league title, there is little to gain either. Illinois State knows that it is going to the dance only if it can win this game, and the NIT isn’t even nearly a guarantee with a loss. Bubble teams have a lot to worry about though, because the Redbirds have the defense to at least be able to slow down the Blue Jays, and if that’s what happens, we really could be seeing the bubble shrink by one team on Sunday.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Illinois State
